I originally bought this book upon reading that the Step 1 would contain a significant amount of Neuroanatomy. This book goes in too much detail for the Step 1 and in hindsight, the Step 1 does not contain a significant amount of neuroanatomy.

The book and photos look great, but unless you already have a reasonable level of knowledge in neuroanatomy, you won't find this book easy to read or understand. Read this if you want to be a neurosurgeon, radiologist, pathologist or neurologist. Otherwise, I really don't think this book is necessary for your average medical student.

This book would be good as a quick recap of Kaplan. If you looking something to read at the first place, you wouldn't find detailed explanations here.

+ CTs are well-described.
- Pictures are disorganized, appearing 2 pages after they are mentioned in the text. Not really convenient.
