This is an excellent and informative guide for comedy records; in fact, I think it's really one of the only ones out there. There's a lot of great background info on the artists and albums.

Unfortunately, the author doesn't seem to actually like most of the comedy albums he's profiled. If the record isn't one featuring an old-time comedian from vaudeville or old-time radio, he's pretty much got little of anything good to say about him or her. Though he does seem to thing Bill Cosby is some sort of comedy god.

If you can get past the bias in the tone of what the author's written, this can be a valuable resource for any comedy record or spoken word humor fan.
