Destin McCoy has a flawless reputation behind the keyboard and in the sheets. However when he is put to the test by the Drug Lord who is responsible for his brother's deaths, he has a choice to make. Save the girl who has helped him heal or take the vengeance he deserves. Will Destin make the right choice or will this just become an error?
Ok newbs, if you have no idea what or who Triple D is, I have but two words for you: Destin McCoy. If you’ve read the Adrenaline series (You haven’t? Please get yo life then start with Book 1, Classic, and keep going…FYI-not required, but highly recommended), then you know there is a set of sexy triplets who go collectively by Triple D. Let’s see, there’s Daniel the horn dog, Drew the brooding one, and then there is my newest book crush Destin, the quiet, sexy, but don’t get it twisted nerd of the set. Destin is the heart of Triple D.
Why do I get so emotionally invested in these characters? Because they’re so damn adorable in that lovable yet cocky sort of way. Destin is struggling emotionally after the deaths of his brothers, and he’s hell-bent on getting revenge against the man responsible: Devil (Read the damn series!) Liquor can’t numb his pain, but a sexy lil cutie on duty bartender named Azura is surely up to the challenge. Azura has been in deep lust with Destin forever, but between his family obligations and her shyness and lusting from afar, it just wasn’t happening-that is until Destin goes on a deep bender and Azura comes to his aid.
As with all the stories in the series, I love how these young couples are able to both take care of business while forming these deep, emotional and impenetrable bonds. Their love is always so passionate and so intense. It’s like Oooh, damn, yaaaasss! I especially love the Xavier Neal trademarks of these couples having their own special catchphrase that they say to one another, but especially the hilarious side-bars they have with the reader. Love it! Click it up!
I don't think I've said this about any of the McCoy boys yet, but Destin is definitely my favorite. Maybe it's his geeky side. Maybe it's the fact that he feels like he's the "left out" McCoy. Whatever it is, he's got my heart. Azura is the bartender at Mickey's. A no-nonsense girl with a great head on her shoulders - and a past she would love to remember. Destin is the last of Triple-D - the triplets of the McCoy family. Always the Hacker and computer genius behind everything they do, Destin is usually left behind. Getting a glimpse into Destin's head is exactly what we need! I cannot wait for more from the McCoy's, and even hole there's a future book for their new help, Wrench! Way to go, Xavier!
Book 5 kept me engaged. I love the McCoy brothers and hearing their stories. This was Destin's story. Destin is on a drunken, porn filled downward spiral until Azura throws him a lifeline. There was plenty of hot sex and action. The Devil is still causing trouble but Destin is causing The Devil trouble. With a biker gang, bullets flying, and threats I was glad that no McCoy's died in this book. Can't wait to read the next book. Is The Devil really dead? Will Madden and Knox to see the light and finally get together? Family reunion?
Holy Wowzers!!! The feels the feels, the complete adrenaline rush!! I truly love these McCoy boys!!! Such an awesome experience and a beautiful story!!! I needed that adrenaline rush!!! :)
My heart cannot stand one more death, besides the evil psychopath, the devil. I really liked meeting Azura at Vinnies pool party in Merricks and Jovi's amazing love story. The commissioner has redeemed himself through helping the McCoys stay safer and getting very bad man out of his city. Destin needed Azura at first to keep his head above the loss. Soon enough, just like Merrick and Daniel he finds the piece that is missing, love. Now if dumbass Madden can get his head out of his you what and really claim the love of his life that he doesn't feel like he deserves. Another amazing story with most unlikely people to really cheer for. It really shows the gray area in life but the constant is love is the ultimate need and desire that is there for everyone. Iconic is next up.
The McCoy saga continues....this time about Destin (one of the triplets) and a bartender named Azura. Destin is dealing with the death of Middle Man (triplet brother Daniel) along with still grieving his youngest brother Merrick and cousin Ben. Azura is just trying to get through life feeling invisible until a certain McCoy that she's been fond of for years finally takes notice in her. Great Read For Sure!!
This one continues the story of the Mccoy brothers. I absolutely love reading about these boys. This book was great from beginning to end. Very enjoyable. Very well written. Loved the character chemistry and the story line. I love how each of these couples falls in love .Just a great book and a great series.
Destin and Azura!❤️ This tripple D McCoy Brother and his nerdy quirky self found him the perfect nerdy quirky girl! Watching these broken boys discover themselves after all the heartache they have been through has been so good. I’m so sad I am down to the last book in this series because I want to just ride the McCoy boys… I mean ride with the McCoy boys a little longer ❤️
Although this was another good story, at times I felt that it was to babyish, where even a gun Destin did not use, let alone fight. Besides that, it was a cute fun read...
I’m falling more in love with the McCoy’s. Never judge a book by its cover. You never know what you might find under the hard exterior. Love, family, loyalty are just a few things you will find with this series.
This is my favorite of the Adrenaline Series books, and my favorite McCoy brother. I loved seeing both Destin and Azura come into their own and become happier people both together and separate. Amazing read. Highly recommended.
Loving the McCoys! All of the are sexy, dangerous, funny as hell and will do anything to protect their family! Gotta love them! On to the next book in the series!
Goes down as another off my 2018 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A book set somewhere you have travelled to. Well Azura goes to London for a bit so I’m going to count it anyway.
So if you didn’t well up with tears at the end of Unmask there is something wrong with you. Triple D has lost a brother, Daniel. Heart goes out to all the McCoy’s as they are slowly being broken down by another loss. Drew has Melody now to help him through and Madden and Knox sort of have something but Destin is feeling very lost and alone. Almost like losing a limb with the loss of Daniel. Not knowing how to be he starts to act like Daniel thinking it might make him feel better. Namely by drinking too much and watching too much porn – don’t judge people. With being the tech savvy one of the family though his mission to destroy everything in the Devils world goes to another level. Closing down banks accounts, getting houses seized and modes of transport taken away. He just needs to be careful how much he pushes because you know the Devil will soon push back. On one of Destin’s drunken nights he ventures out to Mickey’s bar, home away from home, and happens to get a kick start in a new direction. Well more like the day after when he has to apologies for how he treated Azura.
Azura has had a thing for Destin for years but didn’t want to just end up as a ‘Tuesday girl’ like her stepsister was for Daniel – happily so mind you. She wanted to be a forever girl but just needed him to notice her first. She gets that in a way when he’s almost passed out drunk and needing a ride home. This cues in his drunken rudeness by pretty much saying they were going to have sex but only because he looked like Daniel and she couldn’t have him anymore. Cue him getting slapped in the face, which you are happy about. She never went there with Daniel and once morning comes Destin is beyond regretful and needing to go straight over to apologize. Gets an eye full to start with when he does as her stepsister just tells him to go straight on in. A half-naked wake-up call he could get used to. To say sorry he wants to take her out to which she says as a date, which throws him a bit. It’s not that he doesn’t want to; it’s just been so long he’s not sure how to do the dating thing anymore. Shouldn’t worry long because this guy could charm anyone and very quickly stakes his claim on her. Something she can’t stop smiling about. Seems she wasn’t the only one pinning away. It’s great that the longer they are together the more the real ‘them’ comes up to the surface. More so for Destin who is seen as himself for the first time and not just judged as a part of Triple D. They love their unit as brothers but still want to be seen as individuals too.
Chemistry bubbles around them, starts slow but soon it overflows. You can see the pull they have together but more that it’s her pulling him back to the real him after the losses he has had to cope with. Start of something great and hot enough to see the steam rising but this doesn’t stop him from wanting to take down the Devil. Madden may have told them all to back down but he can’t stop. Seems he needed the right push to want to as the Devil targets those you care for most. Azura may soon find herself in his sights but as you know he doesn’t like to get his hands dirty so others will come into play. Things from the past coming back to haunt the present so hold on for another action packed ride with these McCoy’s doing whatever they can to keep those they love safe.
Seriously I need to get to this Christmas dinner because it is going to be emotional. The McCoy’s back together again for a better future. Can’t keep these McCoy’s down for long and something tells me Madden has been up to more than he’s been letting on. Let’s crack on with his story because the sexual tension between him and Knox is getting to volcanic proportions. When they get together I feel it’s going to be epic or better yet Iconic like the title suggests. Can I read all three in one day? Is sleep really needed? Let’s see how far I get. That video at the end too, yep made me want to well up with them.
I was given this book in turn for an honest review!
Destin finds himself existing with only one aim; to bring down the Devil! When Azura takes him home from the bar one night; neither realised she was the angel he desperately needed. Will vengeance come between Destin and Azura? Or does the love they share bind their hearts forever?
Xavier Neal has written another gripping and outstanding story. The latest of the Adrenaline series will have you sat on the edge of your seat with abated breath. Life has far from calmed for the McCoy brother's; with hearts aching and minds seeking vengeance, the tension and need for revenge is Destin's main mission. Losing his brothers has ripped him apart; without a doubt Destin is our sweetest and most emotional, nerdy, sexy brother! I loved Destin; he wore his heart on his sleeve. Once he realised he loved Azure he wasn’t afraid to show it. Destin is the brother that will have you swooning one minute and wanting to hug him the next. I absolutely loved Azure; she wasn't afraid to be honest and she was loyal to her friends. This girl grew up in a loveless family; she deserved to be shown love; Azure herself had a lot of love to give. Together Destin and Azura had a great rapport; the humorous and sarcastic moments are endless; they are the sweetest couple. This story is emotional and will leave you in tears; tears of pure happiness. Destin and Azura's story is a sweet story of rebuilding life; an adventure to discover who they truly are and the true meaning of a loving family. I can't wait for Madden’s story; I want to know who Madden McCoy really is.
This story can be read as standalone; however to fully enjoy the Adrenaline series I recommend reading the books in order; starting with Merrick’s story in Classic book #1.
If you love suspenseful, emotional, heart wrenching, romantic stories; you will absolutely love the Adrenaline series by Xavier Neal.
** Deep SIGH ** Another McCoy Treasure! Applause to Xavier for constantly surpassing my expectations!
Destin McCoy and Azura's story definately lived up to all the hype and was everything i hoped and dreamed it would be!
Destin is one of 3 supposed mirror image members of the infamous Triple D McCoy's. All his life he has never stood out for being the man that he really is and never has someone ever cared enough to take the time to actually get to know him individually...or so he thinks! After his family loses his cousin Ben, one of his Triple D brothers Daniel, and his baby brother Merrick at the hands of The Devil, Destin is on a one mission to bring The Devil to his knees no matter what the cost.
Azura has no-one in her life that cares about her and she feels invisible even in a bar that's jam packed every night as she slings drinks for a living, so she can definitely understand how alone Destin feels. She has always been able to tell Dustin apart from his Triple D brothers and can spot him and his heartache from miles away. Harboring some seriously deep feelings for Destin isn't exactly a secret, everyone seems to be able to see it plainly on her face....except Destin!
Destin is getting closer and closer to cutting The Devil off from all his escape methods and all of his money, making The Devil a really desperate man. Destin can't help himself from pushing and pushing The Devil and when The Devil pushes Destin back he realizes possibly too late that the cost that The Devil is making Destin pay is higher then Destin ever thought possible. Will Destin choose the right thing? Will he lose the chance of a lifetime in exchange of seeing The Devil finally pay? What price is too high for Destin to pay?
I've LOVED every book in this series! I can't walk away without finishing the book. Xavier did an amazing job pulling me into each and every member of the McCoy family and making them all stand out on their own! I can't wait for Madden's book!
I can't express how much I love the McCoy's!! Everyone of them has weasels their way into my heart. Destin McCoy is no exception!!!
Destin: He is the computer wiz in the family and loves to hack into numerous accounts. Destin is smart, ambitious, passionate, and loves hard! His love for his family is what holds him together, but with so many losses he feels lost in his own misery. He is trying to find his way back, he just needs to figure out what he's looking for.i really do love his character and the journey he goes through. A completely swoon worth BBF!!!!!
Azura: oh my goodness, she is a cutie pie!!! Being a bartender at the local bar and having a passion for film and photography, she is trying to make a career for herself. She is happy with her life, but needs more. I love her kindness to others, and the way she tries to capture life. She wants to make memories that you can never forget. There is pieces missing in her life, and like a puzzle she is putting it back together one piece at a time.
When the one person you want and you know their reputation... Do you go all in, or cash out before you lose everything??? When Azura and Destin desperately try for what they want, things get a little complicated. This is going to be an emotional roller coaster ride that will leave you breathless. It is pumped with heartache, adrenaline, and some crazy good times. The Devil is always lurking in the shadows, but there may be light at the end of the tunnel. I'm hoping that you will fall in love with Destin. It is a standalone but if you want the full effect of this family, please start with CLASSIC and take this crazy ride from the beginning!!!
Iconic is next, and I am jumping for joy to get my hands on Mad Man McCoy!!!
I Was Provided A ARC By The Author (Possible Spoilers)
Destin McCoy is slowing spiraling. After all him and his family have gone through, Destin can't seem to find his way away from the bottle, from stopping "The Devil" and avenging the ones he lost. With a push from his brothers, Destin takes a step back from his destructive ways and see's the one person who has been waiting off to the side, hoping he would notice. Nerdy, sweet, glasses wearing, bartender, Azura Rose.
Azura Rose is tired of being overlooked, of being invisible to all those around her. Making films, taking pictures, that's where she finds herself. When Destin McCoy is in need of some saving, Azura steps ups to help him. Crushing on this McCoy is nothing new, and when he starts to show interest, Azrua feels like maybe for once shes not so invisible.
Error brings us a more calm, more level headed, but still sexy, McCoy brother. Destin McCoy, youngest of "Triple D", is not as wild as his brothers. He's a little more nerdy and little less womanizer. But he still has that McCoy charm, dirty talking mouth, and alpha ways. Azura is such a fun addition to the girls in this series. Comic book reading, sassy, vulnerable and knows how to put Destin in his place.
These two together are so damn fun. They go from cute, to sweet, to sexy all in one chapter. They joke and tease, they share their fears, their dreams. They stand united when faced with danger from The Devil. Suspense, action, tears, laughs, sexiness, and of course one wild and crazy family. After five books I still never know what to except next. But I do know it will be just as kick*** as the rest of the series.
This was by far and away my favorite of all so far. Destin and Azura were so amazing. I love them! Destin is my absolute favorite of the McCoys, he was so sweet and awkward, very different from the other brothers,he was the smart techy who it seemed didn't quite fit in. Now that's not to say he was soft, no he had a little bad a** in him And went all out for Azura, the beautiful girl who never felt love from her family, but found joy in video documenting extreme sports. Azura has had a crush on the geeky, shy member of the sexy triplets known as Triple D,but is a bit shy herself. When Destin shows up at the local bar she works at to drown his sorrows,Azura feels the need to take him home, when a drunk mouth speaks a sober mind, soon these two are inseparable, but the Devil is always moving about and when he sets his sights on destroying Destin,he goes after his heart,Azura. WOW, Destin and Azura were soon F*****g hot! I thought my kindle would blow up. They were so sweet too, all Destin wanted was for someone to want him,not just be a consolation prize,b/c Daniel and Drew were all ready taken ,like Merrick,he was a romantic, and it showed. Azura was so sweet and kind of awkward too, never really feeling like she belonged in her own family. They were to lonely, people who found what they needed in each other, the rest of the McCoy clan was hilarious as always and had me laughing out loud. This is a great series, well written with unforgettable characters. Loved it!
In Error, we learn Destin's story, the youngest of "Triple D" and the second youngest of the McCoy brothers. Destin is the 'tech' genius of the family. Unbeknownst to Destin, Azura the bartender at Mickey's a place where the McCoy's are known to hangout, is secretly crushing on him for the last couple of years. One night things change when Destin well into his cups is given a ride home by Azura and late insults her when she drops him off. After Madden, Knox (totally love her by the way) and Drew tell him that he need to get himself together and Drew lets him know that he need to go and apologize to Azura after the way he acted. Once Destin gets to her house, he starts seeing Azura in a new light.
Things go from bad to worst for this couple has after their night for passion Azura walks in on her "step-sister" (read the book and you will get why I put step-sister in quotes) on top of Destin while he is in bed await for her. Things don't look good for this couple and things out left real fast when The Devil nemsis to the McCoys pulls a shocker and covers secrets no one knew about. Once the McCoys are able to put that fire out another crops up and has Destin going from happy and in love to bratty and in the dog house in zero to 60 seconds. The book is full of choices that Destin is finding himself having to make.
Can not wait for Madden and Knox's story and hopefully we will get to the part where everybody is at the Commissioner's house for a Christmas surprise!
Get you tissues at the ready along with a stress ball shiz is about to get interesting. Azura and destin's story is finally here. *happy dance* The McCoy brothers are out of this world we all know this and well the triplets there something special. Destin's story captures him perfectly. He's not just one third of triple d. He is destin. A person in his own right... And why shouldn't he be noticed as such.
So this is to be spoiler free so I'm just going to tell you all I fluffin love destin. He's dedicated, loyal, swoon worth. <-- he's for sure book boyfriend material and I ain't reading another book for a few days (this book whore is gonna ride the destin high.;) Azura she is amazing she compliments destin, they work together perfectly. <3
Is this going to be a plain sailing book? hell no. Will you get a massive amount of satisfaction? Fack yes, and some. Yes tissues may be needed(I did. My eyes are broken)
Bring on iconic <<----- I've been waiting like a child waits for Christmas. #ThisWillBeEpic #HappyEndings MyMcCoys #Swoon xx
Definitely the best one. Destin is turns out isn't as much like his brothers as everyone thinks. But dealing with his brothers deaths his does the best way he knows how, hacking. He is messing with The Devil's life and leaving bread crumbs for the police. Azura is amazing at photography and filming but works as the bar as a means to make enough money. She carries a torch for Destin but knows the McCoy lifestyle. After a drunken night in which she helps him get home a closer relationship begins to build. But The Devil knows about it and he's getting angry at Destin. So he reignites a danger Azura didn't even know about. This was my favorite so far. While I enjoyed the other books there was something about this one that made it impossible for me to put down. I even learned something that I thought was physically impossible lol but Xavier is killing me with the dinner still looming in the future.
This was another great read Xavier Neal, my god was back on edge of my seat, this book was more emotional, as the McCoy family lost a close family member and Destin went off the rails, drinking too much, sleeping around with god knows who, 1 night he is drunk again and Azura who works at the bar helps Destin home and he is so rude to her, that his brother gives him a arse kicking for being rude to her. He goes to say sorry and for the first time he actually sees her. They spend some time together and Destin feels a connection to Azura that he has never felt before, he feels she can help him deal with his issues and his baggage. Azura finally gets the one thing she has always wanted Destin, he helps her feel like she is important, They are strong together and have amazing connection, Destin has to choose between saving her from dying or getting the revenge he has been waiting to disc out. What will he choose to do? Does he love her enough? better read it to find out.!! A great series
This series is best read in order. That is due to the development of each character and how they roll over from one book to the other. It is like living a regular life where people keep giving you tidbits of information of themselves but in this case it is tidbits of information about the family as a whole. Read this series you will not be disappointed and just as they have become my favorite book family, the McCoy family will pull you into the fold as well. They aren't a traditional family and when the McCoy men fall in love they fall hard with lots of mistakes a long the way. Destin and Azura are no different. Can't wait to read what happens next and just how.....oops almost spilled the beans and spoiled the series for others.
Triggers: Just a heads up that this series is intended for readers over 18 due to adult content and situations. It also contains illegal activities.
I DON'T WANT IT TO END! 5 books in...5 stories and over a thousand pages of being with the McCoy family. I can already see the mother of all hangovers coming. The end is near.
Destin McCoy, I love you so hard. No more than the rest of the McCoy boys but your story was, like all the others, epic. Each page I read the more invested I become. And the best news of all....NO TRIP TO THE JUNKYARD!
But I still a few unanswered questions. For example, Christmas...every story has been leading up to this event and it's DRIVING ME CRAZY! I want to read it, but I don't because that means the story is over and that just can't happen right now, I'm not ready. Also, THE DEVIL...I mean come on Xavier, I have to know how it all ends! No, wait, because once you do the story is over...again...I will repeat, I'm not quite ready for that.
Tell me! No, don't tell me! Aaaaaarrrggg!!! Once again, another epic, amazing, and emotional story. Error ~ 6 frustrating yet amazing stars
Azura is one tough cookie, “no.” she stubbornly cuts me off. “I have given up staying at my house. I can't go back to the bar not only because it's still closed, but because they might try to get me there too. I need this Destin. I need to do this event tomorrow. If it'll make you feel better to be at my side with your superman cape then by all means join me, but I'm going.” Destin is a sucker for his woman, "my face appears around the shower curtain. Seeing the stern but sad expression, I cave. “Fine. I'll go too. Get up ass early and everything for you. Now, get naked so I can eff you rotten before I have to get to work. It's all hands on deck today.” I enjoyed this book I love the McCoy brothers they always are entertaining.
I sometimes wish you could just give more stars because on this occasion I feel I need to give more.
Destins book was always gonna be a little heart rendering after the book before and my heart was breaking along with his. We get to meet the real Destin McCoy who lets face it is the nerdy McCoy but he's also just as intense as his brothers. Azure is the bartenders at the McCoys local bar and has wanted Destin forever. She's his match in every way. Their story has a twist and honestly if you have read this series you will know you cant guess because you will be wrong. The ending is perfect and I'm now chomping at the bit for the next book. Another perfectly written book by an awesomely talented lady.
Oh My Goodness...* *disclaimer given ARC for honest review**
I've been in love with Destin McCoy since the first book. I understand that he is loyal to a fault and he will seek revenge for the Man responsible for killing off his family. Azura is the woman he has been secretly in love with for years as she is the bartender at his favorite bar and when fate brings them together it is HOT HOT HOT!! She is stubborn as he is proud so it makes for some amazing chemistry between them.
Destin will stop at nothing to try and seek revenge but he won't risk the people that he loves so expect to see a lot of that.
The Devil is up to his old tricks but so is Destin!
I just can't begin to say how I love this family and this series. This installment of Destin's story was almost coming full circle. This was an intense story because we got to really see how decisions and actions have taken a toll.I love the chemistry it is so sexy and off the charts.I love the fact that we are getting a story of one and just not the McCoy experience. This was everything you would expect from Xavier Neal. This series is so bookshelf worthy and if you know anyone who wants excitement, drama, comedy, and some of the hottest sex scenes this is definitely the series.
As with all the other books in this series, this one was no exception.......it's BRILLIANT! The McCoy brothers are simply perfectly imperfect! Each one of them has their own quirks and charms, they are all sexy, good looking, good lovers (so all the girls say) and totally badass! This story is gripping and Hot! The Devil has the brothers running around in circles and putting everyone's life at risk, especially the ones they love most! I love the fast paced events, the intrigue and the anticipation of what's to come and how it will all be once and for all come to an end. I can't wait to read the last book in this series. As the last McCoy is my favourite........Mad Man, I'm waiting!!!
