Great Book

I really enjoyed reading this book. There were a few places that confused me a little because it seemed to be a little inconsistent. However, I loved reading about how she moved through life with so many trials and struggles... And still live to tell about. I would have liked to learn about where she was currently in the year or year before she released the book. Nonetheless, great book. Very inspirational.

Transparent

This book isn't about perfect editing, vocab, or any of the other things most avid readers notice. This book is about pure, uncut transparency into the life of a woman who lives amongst a society who would deem her actions, lifestyle, and parenting unconscionable. Mahogany's raw honesty into her life keeps you captivated, wondering if she'll ever love herself and pull everything together to have a life she and her children would like. Her writing style was refreshing as it felt like she was on her porch with a good friend just telling her story hoping it's a judgment free zone. Fantastic book!
