I freaking love this debut from Sierra!! She told a fantastic story about Sheridan and the events leading up to her meeting Blade, her step-brother and boss. You will be rolling with some of Sheridan's and Donna's conversations. Then, just wait until Sheridan's inner witch comes out!! She is one strong chick and you can't help but love her. Blade is one sexy alpha male, that has many secrets, but we eventually learn what he is hiding. This book made me laugh, cry, want to throat punch, and mostly it made me happy. I HIGHLY recommend this book to everyone!, You will not be disappointed!! I really don't want to give anything away, but just know that this book has twists and turns that will keep your eyes glued to the page!!

For a debut novelist Sierra Rayne knows how to pack a punch!

This book was great for a first time author. The characters were relatable, the story line kept you on the edge of your seat and at times I was like holy curveball! Shocked the hell out of me.

Sheridan is one of those female leads you can't help, but like. Though she goes through some very tough and emotional situations that start off right from beginning, the way she gets through them and works to get over them is really well written.

Blade is that angsty yet hot as hell male lead that is truly swoon-worthy. Although, I did want to thump him in the head a couple times.

At least three times I was shocked during the book, and said to myself well-played Sierra Rayne, well-played. It's hard to shock me :D

I recommend this book to anyone who likes a story that leaves you on the edge of your seat, keeps you guessing, and makes you smile.

As for some of the bad reviews, are there errors? Yes, but once you get past them and actually get to the meat of the story you realize errors or not the story is sooo good.

Give the story a chance and it may surprise you, just like it did me.

Where to start!?! Broken in Pieces has such an emotional pull throughout the entire book! In the beginning we learn how Sheridan's life was growing up as an only child to a Mother who is pays more attention to her rank on the social ladder than the well being of her daughter. When a personal tragedy strikes, Sheridan is forced to leave her hometown, her so-called family, and her best friend Donna and relocate to NYC. Dealing with the aftermath of her tragedy and a new city Sheridan sets out to find herself a job. When she finally finds a job what she doesn't realize is she may have found her salvation in the form of Blade Hawthorne!
Broken in Pieces will take you on every twist & turn and a very emotional and bumpy ride on this broken road called life.
Will Blade be the man who saves her from her heartache or will he be the cause of more heartache for Sheridan....to find out be sure to grab Broken in Pieces on September 2, 2015!

This is a good solid first book by a new up and coming author. The main characters are likable. The villains, unlikable. This is a story of survival, forgiveness, and love. I look forward to Sierra Rayne's next book.

Wait..what? This is a debut author? I can't believe that! I absolutely loved this story! It was a breath of fresh air, something different. I was grabbed by Sierra and dragged into the story with Blade and Sheridan! I loved how well the story flowed, I couldn't turn the pages quick enough. Sheridan has to go through hell to get to see the beautiful life she always deserved, but at what cost? And how long does she need to live a nightmare? Blade is a mystery from the very beginning. I absolutely loved how we find out who he really is. I have never read a book that wrote a character like that! I can't say enough good things about this book. Get ready for an emotional roller coaster and hold on tight, Sierra Rayne takes you for a ride! I can't wait to read more from this amazing new author! She definitely gained a lifelong reader!

I loved this book by Sierra Rayne, and I promise it will not be the last one I read from her. This book pulled me in from the beginning. It had some twists that I was not expecting. The book is about Blade and Sheridan. Blade is Sheridan's boss and they find out a little while later that they are step-siblings. That is after they find they like each other. They have both have not had the best upbringing. Each page you turn you are finding out something new about each character and I love it. I find myself cheering for them from the very beginning. I am glad I took a chance on this book it was great. I would recommend this book! It most definitely is worth the five star ratings!! Can't wait to see what else Sierra can come up with!

Sheridan has been thru hell, raped and drugged her mother sweeps it under the rug and sends her to New York to put "The Incident" behind her and there she meets Blade who at first was jerky then sweet then jerky, and the. sheridan's inner witch had enough and told off her boss who she laters finds out is her step brother. They connect over the 4th of July weekend and Blade shows his sweet self to her and the. Her past shows up at her job and Blade finds out about her past and he becomes protective and slowly Sheridan begins to heal and during all this Blade has crazy ex that will not give up, Sheridan gets a stalker and a whole lot of drama happens. Great read kept me entertained.

To beginn with I need to say that I have never read any of the Sierra Rayne's work but now I know that I was missing things out! This book was more than I expeced it to be! It was passionately written. I cried, I laughed and I enjoyed every second of it! The story had all the details that made the book special and very good. I am giving the story five stars because it was just that good. It was really nicely designed. I am very happy for the chance to read this story!

This book grabbed me from the first page. I have read a couple Stepbrother Novels and I'll have to say, Broken In Pieces, was definitely one of the more heart wrenching - which just made it even more impossible to put down. I definitely recommend this book and look forward to reading much more from Sierra Rayne! xx

I loved this book so much can't wait to read what comes next in this series. This book describes all the hardships that Sheridan has to overcome. Blade had to overcome a lot as well. Their story is one of hurt, secrets, love, and doubt. I would gladly recommend this book to others. I can't wait to read more from Sierra Rayne.

She went from painfully shy to having and inner witch and having the biggest balls to tell everyone off. She was way too inconsistent.

He added useless drama towards the end.

Book was okay. Would have liked an epilogue.

The stepbrother theme didn't really come up too much. It was pretty much just said and brushed off. Wasn't really that forbidden feeling like many other books.

At the start of the book I found this to be very bitty and missing details, It would have been good to see Blade's POV from the beginning through, I think that is why I found the second half the book to be much much better, was more in depth in story and the bittiness was gone. Would definitely like to read the next book though.

Rollercoaster ride

Great story, but there were major editing errors. Certain lines were repeatedly unnecessarily. Besides that it was a good story. I do wish the author had included an epilogue.

Sheridan is excited to go to college with her best friend Donna. Nothing can stand in the way of her achieving her dreams. One night everything changes. She thrown to the wolves and has no way out. Until him. Blade is not only her boss but her step brother. He's never felt the way he does about Sheridan before. There's no slowing or stopping these feelings. Will they be able to let each other in?

Sheridan should've had the world at her fingertips to begin with. I wanted to jump through the pages and save her. That feeling in crippling. Nothing short of a miracle can bring you back from that, and she to hers. Blade has gone through so much in his life. It hurt reading about it. He deserved so much more. Not being used to being loved is not what anyone should feel. I love her inner witch. So many people have that. When he calls her "baby girl" I swoon. Their dances are sweet. He's very dominant and protective. Donna and Styx are great. I hate Jarrod with a burning passion. Carter is amazing. I'm glad Sophia is trying. The beginning was a 2. The middle was a 3 and the end was a 4. This was a rollercoaster. Not bad.

I can relate to Sheridan. I've experienced some of the things she went through. Like her I've fought my way back but sometimes the demons of the past pop up.

This story is beautiful. It's about to people who've been broken by their past learn to love and help each other heal.

Blade's past made me cry. Nothing like this should ever happen to a child.

Sometimes life throws us curve balls, but it's all about knowing how to either dodge them or catch them and deal with the chaos that is life.

I would recommend this book.... Very well written. I loved the characters. They were very well developed.

This nearly became a dnf in a couple of places. Mostly because of the fractured story line and the fact that the h called the h "baby girl"....yuk! That made me cringe every time he used the phrase, and it was a lot! I persevered and tried to ignore every paragraph where it popped up.

The book should have been better than it was. The story lines were good but it needed to develop each story line better. Each time something happened to the h, it wrapped up within a couple of pages. It introduced characters for no particular reason whatsoever. The story of the group was irrelevant in the end.

It was an ok read.

I am in awe...This book deals with several taboo issues, and really gets down to the nitty gritty of the issues, and possible repercussions. Very well written and the character development was impeccable. Sierra really dug deep with this book. Absolutely amazing!
