Knight's Offense

Rate this book
Ethan Knight is a retired investigator for the Army's Criminal Investigation Division (CID). He's happy being retired, is young enough to enjoy it, and has an apartment facing a pool where he is planning on having a few drinks while reading a good book, watching the ladies lounging by the pool. Then the phone rings.

The caller asks him to oversee an investigation into a simple drug overdose, for which the city will pay him a daily fee. Simple enough. A little pocket money, and back to the pool.

Except the simple overdose is not so simple, and it may be a while before he gets back to the pool, as this case begins taking him places he never expected to go. Is this any way to spend retirement?

In his newest release, coming out in October of 2015, Syverson introduces his newest character, Ethan Knight, giving him a straight forward case where all the evidence...
...seems to point the wrong direction.
