Family is out of town, so I pulled out my Sophomore year Macro notes to brush up on IS/LM. I thought this little book would be just the ticket. What with the excellent pedigree of the authors and its convenient size, I had high expectations.

Too high, as it turns out. If you don't know your IS/LM, you won't really learn it from here. So I had to get out my Dornbusch and Fischer. What an awesome book that is.

On the other hand, you can't carry Dornbusch and Fischer in the tube. This little book you can. So I read the textbook at home and as a parallel source I read "The Economist Economics" in the tube on my way to and from work.

For that specific purpose, you could not think of a better book. But an introduction to the topic it ain't. It's more like the authors' notes to themselves. I'm glad they shared, of course.
