From award-winning author Lindsay Randall comes three sweet Regency heiresses—one with too many suitors, one with too many naïve friends, and one who's facing Cupid's bow.
Includes:
Lady Lissa's Liaison: Too many suitors hungering her newly-acquired inheritance, Lady Lissa Lovington plants a devious rumor: she's had a liaison with the notorious Earl of Wylde. The rumor works like a charm, until the mercurial Lord Wylde returns to turn the tables.
Miss Marcie's Mischief: After escaping Mistress Cheltenham's School for Young Ladies on the eve of Saint Valentine's Day, heiress Marcie Darlington is nearly run down by the London Mail Coach, commandeered by the Marquis of Sherringham. Both are trying to escape a scheming Cupid. Neither will succeed.
A Dangerous Courtship: Traveling to the Yorkshire moors by horseback to investigate another of her naïve friends' suitors, Veronica is set upon by a pack of wild dogs—and rescued by a handsome stranger who also seems on the brink of madness.

I found this book discounted on Amazon via eBook Discovery; this is my honest review. 4 stars. For all three books: -The author is very poetic in her descriptions of people's features, the forest, the water, even the buildings. -She keeps repeating facts that we already taken for granted (for ex. he's pulled from all sides by his family; he wants revenge for his family; he wants to be kept alone, etc.). 1. Lady Lissa's Liaison ****: Sweet love story. Not too much drama to conclude the end. The romance was at a quiet, sensible pace, but there was a lot of action going on and it was a fun read. 2. Miss Marcie's Mischief ****: Funny from the start, sweet, and full of over-the-top but realistic adventure for the time. 3. A Dangerous Courtship ****: The story goes from the present to the past but mainly to the present because it's that story that counts. It's a mix of mystery and romance, with a dangerous side to it, but finishes in a flourish.
I think the fact that I couldn't get into the third book may have been me, but it seemed that the characters weren't as much fun as in the first two and the story wasn't either. The first two were great fun with characters i really enjoyed, especially Nan to set a side bit of action that was enjoyable in the second book, and the owl. Definitely different twist with the Coachman!
I really enjoyed the three stories in this collection. Each story is different. The heroines are sweet and adventurous. One is a runaway school girl, one is a lady, and one is an abused young woman who needs love.
I’d like to give this 3.5 stars or maybe 4 but what held me back was they were a bit short. But short and sweet and clean and on top of that interesting with individual plots not retreads.
Three delightful stories, humour staying just the right side of caricature, with characters have some depth. The first is the best, in my view. Gabriel is a magnificent hero and the Lovely Lady L a fine foil. Highly recommended.
