This was a nice Goodwill find the other day!
Though a bit dated - it was published over thirty years ago! - there are enough lovely pictures to make me drool. There are some nice detailed shots, and a few pages of floor plans at the back.

Very well done. Broad enough descriptions to sum up many different houses without making the book an encyclopedia, while detailing interesting pieces here and there. They successfully catalogued many different designs, ideas, and even unique furniture. Floor plans for most of the houses are displayed in the back of the book- though they're not as detailed as I would have liked, I think I might be the weird one who prefers that.

Mountain living at it's best. A nice look at the ingenious log building technique. Lots of inspiration examples from Abe Lincoln's boyhood home to modern resorts.
