One of a Kind documents a lot of bad and goofy design.

Part of the problem is that I’m not particularly fond of the jewelry created at this point in history. At least not judging from this selection. Some designers I liked, one I loved, but most I just didn’t care for. If these pieces were more to my taste, I probably would have given the book five stars.

But my tastes aside, it was well done. Great photos illustrated several works by each featured artist.

The writing was informative, yet at the same time I felt as if I was reading a series of press releases. Lots of hype. It exhausted me.
