Patsy Ramsey: What the Pilot's Wife Knew

Rate this book
This is an honest, reflective, and open book on Patsy Ramsey who the pilot's wife knew both prior and after the horrible murder of her daughter, JonBenét. The reflections reveal sides of Patsy's personality the media did not know. Many books have been written about the family, but none revealed an intimate picture of who Patsy really was. The media thought they knew her, some of the law enforcement folks felt they knew her, and even people who did not know her just knew they did.

This book was not written to reveal any more than who Patsy was as a person. There are reflections of feelings on funny, serious, sad, and tragic times the author had with Patsy.

A friend recommended this book and since I am from Boulder, and had met Patsy Ramsey several years before the tragic death of JonBonet, I was curious. This paints an interesting look at the Ramseys and confirms what I always thought--that they were innocent. In this account, I was moved how deeply religious the Ramseys were during this awful time. Such a tragedy!

Exactly what I wanted and expected

This is not a polished, ghost-written Hollywood vehicle, ready for the Movie of the Week script. Reading this book feels like sitting down for a cup of coffee with Pam while she burdens some painful, nostalgic, and confusing memories.
I learned which family member acted differently before and after the murder. I learned which family member really raised red flags for me. And I learned what it was like behind closed doors, when the Ramseys, their friends, and their scorched earth ex-friends could catch their breath.
