A simple book of 34 daily devotions. Each includes a (as of 1966) contemporary piece of prose or poetry, two to three short scripture readings, and a closing prayer. Each devotion is written to elicit thought and reflection, and I found that it served that purpose well.
As the book is 50+ years old, some of the prose pieces, and some of the language used, do come across as somewhat dated, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well most of the writing had aged.
