Il semble que personne n'ait reussi a refuter la these soutenue par Owen, qu'il defend brillamment en s'apputant sur les Ecriture. Il y a certains indices de nos jours montrant un resurgence de l'interet pour la theologie de la Bible: un nouvel empressement a l'epreuve les traditions, a scruter les Ecritures... My first book by John Owen. Straight to the point. The importance of the substitutionary atonement and death of Christ.

Great!

This gets me excited to read the original work, but as this is just a summary of Owen's arguments in the death of death, it does a fine job getting those across, and there are a lot.

Helpful on understanding a very high-Calvinistic view of the atonement. While many arguments are intriguing, the heavy reliance upon logic over a engagement with Biblical text turned me off.
