The Change: Birth

Rate this book
They are not zombies. Or any other supernatural creature that has ever been dreamed up by man. They are The Changed. They are real. And they are everywhere.

It happened all at once, all over the planet - every man, woman, child, and animal suddenly changing into a murderous, mindless, twisted version of their former selves.

All at once...life as we know it came to an abrupt end.

All that survives is one small a girl, her mother, and their faithful dog, Maxx.

As they are soon to discover, however, there are more things to fear than The Changed...

An interesting short story and intro to the world of the Changed, but there are a lot of missing elements that left me with more unanswered questions that I would have liked. The daughter's excursion into the world, and her differing relationships with her mom and dad, was interesting. Also intriguing were the green-skinned folks. There were some grammatical and editorial issues with this story that needed correcting, but otherwise, not a bad story.

The blurb of the book called my attention due to its originality. I may have felt it was a bit too short, I may even think it doesn't answer any of the questions risen as I read it, but damn is it interesting?
Oh Yeah!
I surely want to know more.

First in a series , this short story doesn't answer any of the questions it raises, but definitely presents a world that sparks one's curiosity and desire to know more. Too bad it doesn't seem to have any sequel as of yet.
