This one I read in 2007-08 when I was seriously down on my luck and had to live in my parents' spare bedroom for eight months. It was the most memorable of a pile of books I got from my local library. I thought it was very touching and it held my attention from beginning to end. Quite a lot of lovely illustrations in it too as I recall. It's hard to believe I'm the first person reviewing it on here, but there we are.
A lot of writers don't lead especially interesting lives because they're too busy writing. Not so Rosetti.
For me, Rosetti's "Goblin Market" is the greatest poem in the English language. Finding out some of the background to it was a joy.
