Donald Grey Barnhouse Th.D was an American Christian preacher, pastor, theologian, radio pioneer, and writer. He was pastor of the Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from 1927 to his death in 1960. As a pioneer in radio broadcasting, his program, The Bible Study Hour, continues today and is now known as Dr. Barnhouse & the Bible.

Donald Grey Barnhouse is the father of Donald Grey Barnhouse Jr.

I was feeling the need to know Jesus more and decided to spend some time in the book of John, taking my time to get to know my Savior better. I came across this jewel of a book on John. In the preface it states “These studies by Dr Barnhouse do not form a complete commentary on every verse and clause. Rather, they are brilliant, incisive, popular expositions of favorite passages of the Gospel which were first given by Dr Barnhouse at historic Tenth Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia, during the 28 years of his ministry there. “

The chapters in the book correspond to the chapters in John. Day after day I would find sweet nuggets of truth about my Savior. I will cherish this little book for years to come.
