Christoper Columbus was born in Genoa, Italy. Columbus wanted to sail west to cross The Atlantic Ocean to Asia. Molly Alkaloid tells how Columbus arrived in land and how he discovered north America and south America. It teaches what makes him a hero. The purpose of the kids book is for Christopher Columbus wanting to find a passage to Asia by sailing west.

I think This book did a good job teaching kids about Columbus because it tells how Columbus arrived in land and how he discovered north America and south America. According to the book “Christopher Columbus made four trips across the Atlantic Ocean from Spain. He was determined to find a direct water route west from Europe to Asia, but he never did. He stumbled upon America’’.I learned that they arrived in the land they thought they were in Asia, but they were in the ocean. it’s not effective for teaching kids because they learned How did they go over there by mistakenly.

I think This book did a good job teaching kids about Columbus because it teaches what makes him a hero. According to the book. His role as an explorer, facing harsh conditions and the unknown as he made his famous voyage. He wanted to forge a western path to the East Indies so that trade with those nations could be accomplished much more quickly. And He took the land away. I learned how he explored the country and how he discovered America. And what was his purpose for the sailing voyage.

But a book about Christopher Columbus is not complete without Native people(Arawak). This History book teaches us a lot about Christopher Columbus, Who was he? How he opened up the Americas to European settlement. We learn that ,How he arrived and discovered the Land. How Christopher Columbus treated the Native people for golds and money. A good way to explain about Christopher Columbus is that Christopher Columbus was a navigator who explored the Americas under the flag of Spain. Some people think of him as the "discoverer" of America, but this is not strictly true. His voyages across the Atlantic paved the way for European colonization and exploitation of the Americas.

The purpose of the kids book is to inform them to find a passage to Asia by sailing west. I don’t like Christopher Columbus and the Spanish explorers' behavior. They were violent,arrogant,well-built,smart and Rich. Because At First,The Columbus and Spanish believed that the Native people were uncivilized. And then, they told them to find golds and money, after not finding more money and golds from Native peoples,They mistreated the Native people and force them into slavery. Columbus and the Spanish explorers force the Native peoples to convert to Christianity. After that they also forced them to leave their village. At last, they take the land away of Native peoples.

Christopher Columbus was one of the most famous Italian explorers and navigators. We celebrate Christopher Columbus on Columbus day. Meredith Dash who wrote this book teaches us how to celebrate Columbus day and he also educates us to know who Columbus was and what his job was. I Think it does a good job teaching kids.

Mr, Christopher Columbus, he was an italian explorer. A person who investigates unknown regions. My essay is about explaining why this book is a good option for the kids and our next children generation.

It teaches us about columbus and what he did .I think this book is good for teaching children about christopher columbus

For example the text says He spent his youth studying geography and developing his love for sailing. According to the book in 1937 , Columbus day became a national holiday, and it was signed by franklin D.

I think this part shows us that he was being a good human being and did lots of good things for this country.

According to my idea this book is good for teaching children about Christopher Columbus because Columbus estimated the size of the Atlantic Ocean partially from reading his Bible. He had read in the Second Book of Esdras (in the Apocrypha) that God created the world in seven parts, six of them dry land and the seventh water. He thus calculated that the ocean separating Portugal from Cipangu (Japan) was one-seventh of the earth’s circumference, or about 2,400 miles. He figured that by sailing 100 miles per day, he could reach the Indies in 30 days.

For example the text says that God created the world in seven parts, six of them dry land and the seventh water. And he was a religious man who believed in god and read the bible as it was taught them to do.

I think this shows us that Christopher Columbus was estimated the size of the Atlantic Ocean by reading the Bible book. He also read the Esdras, and understood that god created the world in seven parts. Six of them dry land and seven water. He also calculated that the ocean is 2,400 mile separated from Japan.

However, this book would be improved if the author wrote about his life. I think it will be good if the author writes about his life and what he has done for people so far . It will make people like him more and be more interested to read about Christopher Columbus .

This book did a good job teaching kids about Christopher Columbus. This will be good for 15 or 16 year old people to read.I think the people who wouldn't like to read the book are the people who hate Christopher Columbus, However speak good english and is well read they will like his book and understand what it is about.

Christopher Colombus was a good man, he is a hero we celebrate Christopher Columbus on Columbus Day. Books for kids are good because the kids should know about Christopher Colombus history and they should know Christopher Colombus is a good man or bad man. Books for teaching, should teach the right way about Christopher Colombus like Christopher Colombus is a good man or a bad man. The author wrote this book because the author wants kids to learn the stories. In my opinion this book is a good job teaching kids about Christopher Columbus because the book teaches the right way about Christopher Colomdus!

I think this book is good for teaching children about Christopher Columbus because this book had more information for kids to understand and also this book teaches kids about how Christopher Columbus became a hero. For example, the text says,Christopher Columbus was born in Italy. He was an explorer.I think about that part because this shows Christopher Columbus' time how he treated people badly just looking for gold and how he became a hero.

I think this book is good for teaching children about Christopher Columbus because a lot of kids didn't know what happened and why we have to celebrate Columbus day.The kids should know we celebrate Columbus Day to remember Columbus’ arrival to America. Many Europeans come to America after Columbus. For example, the text says, this book is a good teaching kids about Celebrate Christopher Columbus Day. I think about that part ? because this shows how people celebrate Christopher Columbus Day in America.

However, the author should have included information about the book should teach kids all Christopher Columbus history. The book should have more information about Christopher Colunbus and the sailors killed many Native people also the book should have Christopher Columbus taking the gold. What would be a good way to explain it to Kids? The book should explain things to kids like the easy information for kids to understand and also the picture should be like more cartoons for kids to understand.

This book is a good job teaching kids about Christopher Columbus because the book teaches the right way about Christopher Colomdus! Also tells us how Christopher Colombus became a hero. I think this book is good for kids like ten years old to fifteen year olds because the information is suitable for ten year olds to fifteen year olds. Yes l like to read this book also my english i need to understand this book and more of this book.I think some people will not like this book but some people will like this book.

Christopher Columbus was born in italy. He found the new world. This Christopher Columbus kids book is very important .This book tells us about the true story and teched us about the hero of Columbus. This book is good for teaching kids because the book teaches the way about Christopher columbus.

I think this book did a good job teaching children about Christopher Columbus because some kids didn’t know what happened we celebrate the columbus the book teaches we celebrate the Columbus Day. How we celebrate Columbus Day? However Christopher Columbus didn’t discover america. When he first arrived, he thought he was in Asia,so he called the native peoples “Indian”. Today we call them Native americans. Due to Christopher Columbus’s voyages, many were encouraged to explore the New world.

This story tells us that Columbus thought the Earth was round .At that time the european people liked to buy spices and silk from China and India on the continent of Asia. They had to travel long distances by land to arrive at these places. Columbus wanted to find a short way to go to China and India.Columbus believed that the earth was round and that by sailing west he would find a quicker route to the east. Columbus did not find China or India? On October 12, 1492, he found America.

However, the author should have included information about the book should explain things
to kids like easy information for kids to understand and also the picture should be more like Cartoon for kids to understand. The book should teach kids all Christopher Columbus history. The book should have more information about Christopher Clumbus and the sailors .
The book didn’t teach us about how many Native people were killed by Columbus and the European soldiers because if the author did that’s will make sense that how many native people
Left alive at this time.

This book is good for teaching kids because how Christopher Columbus became a hero and this book teaches kids how we celebrate Christopher Columbus Day. I think this book is good for kids like 12 years olds to 15 years olds because the information is suitable for 12 to 15 years olds and for 6 years olds to 10 years olds might don’t understand because it is hard to understand. I like to read this book because it was true story and this book is very important now. When I read and write the essay, it makes me english better and also understand more.I think some people and native people might don’t like this book but some people will like this book.

Write an essay to evaluate the children’s book you read about Christopher Columbus. Your essay will have an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. We will write each part step by step. Does this book do a good job teaching kids about Columbus?

I read a book about Columbus, and the book teaches about the history of Columbus in a simple way that kids can understand. This book does a good job teaching kids more about the reason for Columbus day, taking gold, and slaves.

This book is good for teaching children about Christopher Columbus, because the kids learned why it is an official holiday in the USA. They celebrate that day for Columbus. They take the flag and wave on the streets to show some kind of respect for Columbus on his day. Some states are happy for Columbus Day and some states don’t celebrate at all because of his stealing and killing.

On October 12, 1492 Columbus found America. Some people celebrete Columbus Day to remember Columbus’ arrival here in America. Many Europeans came to America after Columbus. This book did a good job because the student learned a lot of things about Columbus and that includes how to celebrate Columbus Day in school. The students learned how to draw his picture during the celebration day.

All in all, this book does a good job for teaching the kids about Columbus. It also teaches the kids the importance of Columbus day, and where he was born. Also, it teaches how he stole the gold from here and the USA. Finally, the book talks about how he brought slaves from other countries which gives the reader the opportunity to form their own opinion to value Columbus Day or not.
What will make this book better is trying to focus more on how people enjoy while celebrating this kind of holiday that has an impact in the country history history rather than talking about Christopher Columbus main point was reading the gild from America, it sounds to be much better to change the way the kids will think if the holiday and make them excited to celebrate it with their family.

Christopher Columbus was born in the Italian city of Genoa Gen-oh-ah in 1451. His dad was a weaver, a person who prepares wool to be weaved into cloth. Christopher didn't want to be a weaver. He loved the sea and wanted to be a sailor. He began sailing at the age of 14.

He sailed around the Mediterranean Meh-duh-ter-Ai-neeuhn Sea and became a skillful sailor. He learned how to make maps and charts and how to sail from one place to another or to navigate. As he grew older, Columbus wanted to sail longer distances

. In 1476, he was part of the crew of a ship that sailed into the Atlantic. His ship was attacked by pirates off the coast of Portugal and sunk. Columbus was able to swim to shore.

He went to a city in Portugal, named Lisbon. He spent many years there, sailing on ships from Portugal and learning more about navigating at sea. He also heard stories about very rich lands to the east. These were the countries of India and China. I this this book did a good job teaching kids about columbus because it tells how columbus arrived in land and how he discovered north america and south america.

This is an ABDO Publishing Company ABDO KIDS National Holidays book, geared for younger elementary age kids.

It has captivating photos of statues, paintings, and people. The text is a very cursory overview of Columbus, the history, and Columbus Day, very appropriate for this age group, but I do feel perhaps it could have been expanded a bit more. There is a page, however, with three additional facts. facts a

The book does have a table of Contents, Glossary,, Index, and internet link for ABDO KIDS crafts, games, videos, etc, which I did not explore.
