When I was a teenager, I really liked this book. It was one of my all time favourites.
A few days ago I read it again, and I really like to smash Maung. He is a egocentric, self-righteous a-hole. Life is too short, just decide what you want and go for it.
If there is someone who I can blame, I'll blame to 'Maung.' The guy who doesn't know what he wants and ruin the friendship and romance of his life. RIP 'Khaing.'
I really don't understand Maung. Why didn't he open for his real feelings? He was always hiding his feelings under some ethic or something. I really didn't enjoy the part he told Khaing that she needs to choose right person instead of her love one. Just because he feels so bad for Nyein Maung's broken leg. He has no right to tell that to her. Her heart might have broken into pieces. Another thing I didn't understand Maung is that did he really love Hlaing as a lover? He even thought of marrying her. Why did he go that far? He said he's trying everyone happy but he ends up hurting both of the sisters. Also the story between his brother falling in love with Myaing is not really looking good. She was like 16 when they met. isn't it pedo behaviour?

This book about love is highly recommended. A true masterpiece. I have already read four or six times, and I always carry a physical copy of the book with me wherever I travel.
