A Home for Christmas (Christmas Mail Order Angels)*****
by Patty Smith Hall

Margaret Cobb has felt cursed all her life and the cause of her mother's death—resulting in the port-wine stain on her cheek as punishment. She longs for a home and family of her own, but who would marry her? She jumps at the chance for happiness as a mail order bride for a man—stranger—in Angel Vale, Wyoming...only is rejected—again. Assayer Avery Waldin needs a wife and mother to help care for his young daughter, even if it means marrying a stranger. Can Margaret and Avery find happiness and possibly love in a marriage of convenience? This is a sweet, heartwarming story of rejection, feelings of being unlovable, to finding self-worth, romance and love and faith. Very well written. I enjoyed it very much.

This was a short but sweet marriage of convenience story. Mail-order bride, Margaret, is rejected by her husband-to-be so Avery steps in to marry her. Since this was a novella, the romantic feelings happen quickly but it was good read. I liked the theme of true beauty since Margaret struggled with her visible birthmark. There were some editing mistakes and incorrect names in the story. However, if you are looking for a quick dose of holiday romance, this will definitely meet your expectations.

A Beauty Mark

A wonderful story of learning to love . Born with a birthmark and being blamed for your mother's death, has left Margaret finding herself unacceptable. Can she learn that beauty is more than skin deep and that she is lovable? She needs to start by believing that God loves her just as she is!

Margaret Cobb came to Angel Vale as a mail order bride. Her original intended backed out on looks. Margaret may have a birthmark on the outside but she is more than beautiful on the inside. Avery Waldwin needs a bride and a mother for his daughter. A perfect fit and a delightful tale. Was sorry it ended too soon!

Very sweet

Very sweet book and message. Only issue I have, other than it being too short, is the editing. There were a few mistakes and missing words but not enough to make me stop reading. Very sweet story.

Nice Story

This is a feel good, very short Christian story that had many incorrect words placed in sentences that was a distraction as I had to stop and reread a sentence to figure out what it should really say.
