This is a good book to skim over at first - then re-read when you have any kind of life transition coming up. The book's primary value lies in worksheets it has for different relationships you'll need to address or manage as a new exec. While I am not an exec transitioning into a new role, it got me thinking in terms of how to communicate with people I currently work and co-exist with. Will be reading again someday.

Great read

I recently started a new exec position and I found the guidance and worksheets in this book very helpful. I gave it four instead of five stars because I felt that the last third of the book was not as substantive as the first 2/3rds . It felt light and that there should have been more accompanying worksheets . Otherwise , really great read
