Oregon Brides #3

Beside Still Waters

Rate this book
When evil leaves her destroyed, Eva Riley will never be the same. Her friendship with Jonesy must end. Even if he did feel more than friendship for her, knowledge of her soiled present and tragic future would turn his love sour. Pushing him away is as much for his good as her own. Ben "Jonesy" Jones is only hanging around Oregon long enough to help bring in his father's crop; then it's back to Texas to tend the ranchland he loves. That was the plan, until a spirited young lady became part of his dreams. Now, he'll stop at nothing to prove his affections and make her his bride. Can romance and restoration be found beside the still waters of God's relentless love? Fall in love with this inspiring love story and our entire collection of Christian romance novels from Heartsong Presents!

This book was great! It was a tough one to read - very well that a Heartsong book goes this dark, and that something like this happens to a main character in the middle of a love story. The author allowed this person to be very human, experiencing very well and very honest feelings of rejection, hatred, and disgust. I have a lot of respect for the author after reading this book.
