This is the combination of two books about the earlier and later parts of the Second World War. It has terrific illustrations, but it's hampered by the fact that in his first book, White jumped back and forth between countries vehicles, British to German to French and back again. In the second half, he keeps them all together, Japan, to Britain, to the U.S., to German. It's good reference, but it also has a tendency to degenerate to Simple English.
