A fine book about the Renaissance painter Titian. There are many pictures of his paintings of religious and mythological scenes as well as his portraits. He was noted for his use of color as opposed to Michelangelo and Raphael who were into structural design. His work influenced many other great artists.

Exquisite publication on this great Venetian painter with a somewhat dry text by Peter Humfrey. An overall good insight into the life and times of Titian.
