A biographical account of Ruth Ellis - the 20 year-old nightclub manager who murdered her lover, the glamorous racing car driver David Blakeley, outside a North London pub in 1955. She was the last woman to be hanged in England.
This book of Ruth Ellis is a true insight as to what she should’ve said in court which could’ve saved her life. She may of shot her lover but she had the gun put in her hand. This is an educational book for anyone who likes true crime, but is a slow read in my opinion. The book repeats her story multiple times and becomes slightly repetitive towards the end however it is interesting to hear the accounts and interviews from other people involved.
