There are two things that make Wiseman's book stand out among other introductions on spirituality and mysticism: the manner in which he draws connections to spiritual movements demonstrating their interconnectivity and the global view which breaks us out of our European, western consciousness and shows just how rich the Christian spiritual tradition is.
