An interesting insight into one man's opinion of the various historical figures he met and interacted with. Rusling is obviously an intelligent man and was in key positions to observe and interact with the Union generals and other officers throughout the war. Just remember that this is his personal opinion and I have read others that differ, but still worth seeing all sides of the motivations and perceptions of key generals through the conflict.
Very interesting first-hand accounts of meetings with and impressions of Lincoln, and a selection of Civil War Generals along with letters home. Very well written.
