A very amusing account of most food-related expressions and their origins. A bit dissapointing at times because the author neglected to mention a few expressions that seemed obvious (tart, sweetpea, etc.) Also, for a few expressions, there seem to be multiple meanings but only one was addressed (i.e. bread and butter or full of beans.)

This is a fun and informative book explaining many of the food related expressions we use. Great book for reading in the car while you are waiting for someone.

There was a lot of repetition, but some interesting information.
