Michele Emmer is a mathematician and essayist. Currently, he is the Chair of Mathematics at ll'Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza." He received the Viareggio Prize for Nonfiction in 2010 for "Bolle di sapone. Tra arte e matematica."
