I started this book and then set it down for a long time. It started out strong with a chapter by Jeffrey R. Holland which was strong. Then I found myself struggling to get through chapters by Daniel Ludlow and Robert Matthews. The chapter by Ludlow in particular felt like it was simply slogging through a topical guide - a pile of scriptures without much in the way of context or commentary given. I came back to it just to say I got through the book but was pleased with the concluding chapters by Robert Millet (especially) and Jack Welch. Millet covered a chapter about the regeneration of man and Welch covered more generally the idea of evidence and faith as it relates to the Book of Mormon. There was one particular insight from Welch that stood out to me, "I continue to be impressed in Alma 32 what we learn when we plant the seed is not that the seed is true but that it is good." (pg178).

There is good information in here, and I probably would have given it a higher rating, but I have been spoiled by all the high-quality material that FARMS puts out. Plus, it is obvious that the articles in here were prepared for oral presentations and reduced to writing.
