It's got a 16 page introduction that gives a timeline and history of various types of plastics. Then the rest of the book goes chronologically with pictures of examples of different plastics and their uses as well as their use in design.
Good book if you want to learn about plastics! I wish all the pictures were in colour, about half are. Big section at the end with how to identify different plastics (hint: they smell different when the burn - don't try this at home!), collections of vintage plastics and their trade names.
