Cyrus Leo Sulzberger II (October 27, 1912 – September 20, 1993) was a U.S. journalist, diarist, and author, and a member of the family that owns the New York Times. During the 1950s and 1960s, he was that newspaper's lead foreign correspondent.
It is good to read history. These men portrayed in the book endured the worst of WWII Europe and are now not forgotten. Betrayed and unfairly treated, they did not buckle but persevered. There is no moral to tell at the end of their stories. The book chronicles the rigor of these Resistentialists.
