This book is very simple with pictures of people pushing something, pulling something, showing something empty, or something full. This book is very simple with a few words per page but with large pictures. It is great for visual learners and is also a great book to integrate ELA and science. This is one that I would use for a read aloud when teaching forces to begining readers and ELL students.

This book was actually brought into one of our science classes to give examples of push and pull. These are two forces that are always acting on us and it is important that students see example of each and this book shows both and distinguishes between the two well.

This book is extremely simple. Black and white photographs with one word on each page showing opposites. It is definitely a vintage book and will remind 30 and 40 something readers of their childhood books. But don’t be deceived by the simplicity. It’s engaging for pretenders and they can “read” it back to you. A great title for teaching opposites.
