This book is now 30 years old, and by no means is it dated. Stouffer was ahead of his time as a naturalist and the warnings that he sends in this book as to the continued existence and preservation of certain endangered species are noteworthy. Marty tells us of his upbringing and of the roundabout way that he got into wildlife film making. I was raising small children when Marty was first broadcasting his wildlife films on PBS. Oh the hours of joy those journeys brought to my young family. This book is a nice trip down memory lane and I highly recommend it.
