It's A Kids Life is the first book of this brilliant children's series by Kerry Gibb. My son already had a copy of book 3, It's A Kids Life: Double Digits, which he loved, so I purchased the first two books for his 8th birthday. He was so excited when they arrived and he immediately put aside the book he was reading by a popular author so that we could read the new books as his bedtime story. Within a week we'd finished both as he asked me to continue reading each evening because he was enjoying the books so much.
Kerry Gibb writes in a way that makes it easy for children to follow and understand the story. There’s many laugh out loud moments that even I find myself laughing at. One of our favourite scenes has to be ‘sensei fat belly’ and my son still laughs about it now. All of Kerry Gibb’s books are perfect for you to read with your child or for them to read alone. If you're looking for a gift, then these books would be ideal. Honestly, I can't rave enough about this amazing series and talented children's author. We're now eagerly waiting for book 4, and my son has already requested it in paperback to continue his collection by one of his favourite authors.
