The first third of this book could be subtitled “Forest Gump - the Lost Years.” There was even a box of chocolates. That’s all I’ve got to say about that.

This book is riddled with misspellings, grammatical errors, and word confusion. The author does not seem to grasp the difference in meanings of words like to and too or weary and wary. Some writing was just plain sloppy, like the continual use of “the man Pilot” and one character who “unzipped his belt”. I can excuse such errors in a free ebook, but not a hard cover of which we are expected to pay.

This book is set in southern Louisiana. First, I hardly think it takes 10 hours to drive from any point in Louisiana to any other point in Louisiana. Secondly, these people sure used a lot of three-dollar, high falutin’ words. I don’t recall any character saying y’all.

The premise of the story was, at best, a stretch and the author ran more characters through this book than the number of people participating in the Boston Marathon. You might need a score card to keep up.

In the end notes, the author suggested a sequel. Ummmm...no.

An epic saga that reads like a soap opera.
