Before you ever gave God a thought, He was thinking about you. He planned for you before you were born, even before the world was created. God's plan was kept secret for centuries as He carefully unfolded it in His perfect timing. God wove His mystery into the fabric of history so that it could be available to you today.
God's deepest desire is that your life will intersect with His mystery and allow Him to pour rich blessings into your life. He already knows you by name and loves you. God has already chosen you for salvation if you will choose Him. This book will help you accept God's opportunity for eternal life.
A great short book to evangelize and share the gospel with others. Can be used for bible study, too. I like how this was broken in a concise, easily understandable way about the fallen man and reconciliation back to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. The book divides itself into chapters starting with "The Beginning" to "The Spread" of the Gospel. The chapter on the death of our Lord shattered my heart. I didn't see the pain of Christ's solitude on the cross as the Father had to look away from Him because the sins of the world was upon Him that way. "My God, My God... why have You forsaken Me?" That was what broke the Lord in that moment more than the beating and nails driven though His hands and feet. Though He knew it had to take place before the world began for our salvation, He still felt the pain of His Father separating Himself for that moment. But, praise God, He was risen from the dead because the agony of death couldn't hold our Lord (Acts 2:24)!
I thank God for Christ's sacrifice for our undeserved salvation, but it shows the absolute love the Father has on us pitiful humans. Knowing the world would still deny Him, reject Him, and even believe it to have never happened, He still sent His Son. And we're without excuse when that glorious day comes.
Aside from that, this book has some historical backgrounds, maps, and Christian hymns recommended at the end of each chapter.
