You will either LOVE or HATE this book. For me, I fell IN LOVE with this book and everything it represents. Vivian is a strong, out spoken and independent woman who takes shit from no one with the mouth a sailor would blush at, which is exactly why I like it. I can appreciate the crude language, harsh sense of humor and the dislike of children in this book; like Vivian says, those things should be kept on a leash!
The targeted audience for this book is not the reader who gasps at curse words and thinks that vulgar vagina jokes are unnecessary, those women are fooling themselves because every single woman has made a vagina joke. If you can sit down and read some dude spanking and gagging some brood, you can sure as hell handle some curse words. This book isn’t the shit that bored, undersexed housewives read just to be able to get their pussy wet when their husbands are gone. That horrible billionaire playboy who falls in love with his secretary or some shit is a far cry from this book, it is refreshing to see an author setting a trend and not following one. So YOU GO GIRL!
There is raw emotion, past scares, real conversations, arguments and sex…GOD THE SEX!!! The combination of hostility, orgasms and emotions made the sex scenes that much hotter and the images I had in my head are defiantly not PG!
Vivian’s rants had my sides hurting every time her filter failed to work! Ranting about children being on leashes, crusty empanadas and meat curtains was literally what made this book feel so alive and real. There is no sugar coating, no caring what others think and there damn sure wasn’t a fucking filter on that bitch! I myself have no sense of what a filter is and I suspect I have gotten a few looks Vivian got when ranting about other peoples little creatures being let loose to terrorize people who choose not to burden the world with little gremlins.
So yes, this book has crude language, inappropriate jokes and outrageous rants but don’t deny that your pussy got wet just reading about Jax and Vivian fucking in the rain. In all fairness, this book did come with a label and what that label warned against was exactly why I fell in love with it. There is no fairy tale bullshit, no bull shit about a knight in shining armor and defiantly no sense of giving a fuck what people thought.
I give this book 5 stars since that is the maximum amount, it is intelligent, witty, real and by far one of my favorite books I have ever read. Like I said, YOU GO GIRL!
