In her debut children’s book, Love Is Bubblegum, New York Times bestselling author and reality TV star Kailyn Lowry explores the meaning of love through a joyful chorus of children's voices. Alternately heartwarming and hilarious, each child’s unique perspective is brought to life with playful illustrations by breakout children’s book illustrator Fuuji Takashi.
The overall message is that love is a variety of things. However, the book is just told through quotes from young children. The illustrations are beautiful, but there is really no "story" here.
It was a pretty cute book, but nothing super exciting. It features mostly quotes from young children and some colorful illustrations. I would say it's an average children's picture book, but nothing extremely entertaining. Still worth a checkout, though.
Illustrations are good, message, of course is what is love according to kids. Basically just quotes from kids on what they feel love is. Nothing deep or complex, just a simple kids book.
