This book is one I could enjoy with my daughter. As we were reading it, i noticed that it could go for all generations. We all read about happily ever after but who else wonders what happens next??

Its full of twists and turns, the good and the evil. But the evil one doesnt have to die. It mentions Albany wondering about happily ever after being boring, and ends with her saying it was the beginning of her happily ever after. Its a little hard to write a review without spoilers for this one, so i will leave it at...

A book that kids, preteens and even some adults would enjoy. Looking for a book to share with your child or niece? Pick this one and you will both begin your own happily ever after.

The review

This is the second book in the series and while I personally feel you could read it without having read book one, i don't recommend skipping it. Book two I feel is even better. I loved this continuation. The story line was still pleasant and I was still fully engaged. I felt there was more of a deeper character development for this book as Albany grows more into herself. I still love this author's writing and how detailed and vividly she paints a picture. I want to see more in this series, though maybe not Albany's story. While i feel there could be more, I liked the ending as is. I'd love to see the story maybe from other perspectives surrounding Albany's story. Most sequels don't live up to the standard of book one but i was blown away by how much my love for this one surpassed my love of the first one. Kudos for such a intriguingly beautiful novel! 5 stars from me! Thank you Ravenswood publishing for sending me this book in exchange for my honest review

First reaction:
Ha, the new book of Madame Ostler is out I wonder how much her writing improved. *reading an excerpt on amazon.com* Not very much sadly. :/

Albany finished high school, now she's in college. I just hope we won't stick around to see her starting at her first job, getting married and dealing with expecting a baby.
***

So long it seems more like character degeneration than character development.

I received the ebook in exchange for an honest review. The story is about Albany. It's the second book in a series, but there is no issue if you haven't read the first. I didn't either. This caused no difficulties to follow this story. The story is quick paced and fun. The only thing I liked less was the repetion in the story. It could have done with less in my opinion
