The Organizer

Rate this book
Damian Reynolds was destined to be the Organizer of Peace well before his birth. His sixteenth birthday marked a change in his life, one that will affect the future of all mankind. This might have been an easier task for a strong young man, but Damian has quirks, issues, and is a natural born klutz.

He falls in love and does what he has to do to stay strong for his family and for Jessica, even though she isn’t what she seems, she has secrets of her own, and for good reason. Will her secrets get in the way of his calling?

From the revelation that his family and best friend, Jon kept secrets from him, to the untold story of his destiny. It's beyond surreal. When the realism of his life truly hits, it's anyone's guess how he'll handle it.

*YA relatively clean read/some cussing/fade-to-black sex scene.

Once upon a time, Natalie hated reading and never wanted to be an author, yet here she is. A little thing called Twilight came along and changed things. After reading the sparkly vamp series, she continued to read more, consuming one vampire story after the next. Then one day she had a dream. One that she couldn't shake. Four days later she typed the dream out, and that became the start of her YA paranormal romance novel, The Keeper.

When Natalie's not reading or writing, she can be found with her husband supporting their two young adult children and hanging out with her grandchild. Or maybe running around with her camera taking photos while camping and/or hiking. Or lastly, and most probably - She's watching TV while simultaneously purusing her social media sites.

Their family resides in the state of Virginia where Natalie's muse keeps her awake late at night.

This is the second book in the Mist series. I was so excited when it finally came out. I loved the first one, Billie's story, and I love this one just as much. You really should read them in order. This is a YA paranormal read.

Damian is actually Billie and Tyler's son. He is a loner, rebel, hates to be touched. He's different. When we first meet him in the book, he seems like he's a drunk that just doesn't care and he's only fifteen then. It's just like when we first met Billie when she was his age, she was the "mean" girl. Everything changes for him when he turns sixteen and puts on a bracelet given to him by Rayme, Billie, and Tyler.

He changes. He is the Organizer. The child born of two Keepers. He will help keep peace between good and evil. Without him, evil will take over. People have been waiting for him for forever it seems.

There is a lot that happens in this book with Damian. He changes so much and accepts his new fate, his responsibility. With the help of his mom, Rayme and Jessica he doesn't struggle as much as Billie did with accepting everything.

There are somethings going on with Jessica also. I won't get into that because I don't want to give anything away. I will say that I loved every character, both new and old, in this book.

I can't wait for the next one! I'm excited to read the final book in this trilogy. I don't really read a lot of YA anymore, but this is a great series. One you don't want to miss out on!

YA books have always been one of my favorite genre, so you can imagine my excitement to read “The Organizer” and it definitely did not disappoint. This being the second book in this series, was even better than the first and I’m highly anxious to read the third now. All the characters Billie, Tyler and Damian show good character development and were amazing and I couldn’t help but to love them. I can’t wait to see what happens next in “The Progeny”!

A great follow up!

This book wasn’t what I expected but it was great! I loved reading how Billie is as a mother and everyone else as adults. I can’t wait to read book 3.
