Dian Hanson (born November 2, 1951) began her publishing career as an American pornographic magazine editor, historian, and occasional model, helping found the 1970s hardcore journal Puritan, then moving on to Partner, OUI, Adult Cinema Review, Outlaw Biker and Big Butt, among others. She was most famously the editor of Juggs and Leg Show sexual fetish magazines from 1987–2001.

Secondo volume del maestro della fotografia foot-fetish Ed Fox, curato da Dian Hanson e pubblicato dalla Taschen Verlag. Non molto da aggiungere rispetto al primo: le foto, per quanto piacevoli ed erotiche, risultano un po’ troppo artefatte per i miei gusti. Non male il DVD allegato, con videoclip di buona qualità, tributo di Fox ad Andrew Blake, che considera un po’ il suo maestro, e accompagnati da ottima musica elettronica, composta dallo stesso Ed e anche da un altro Fox, forse suo fratello. Nell’introduzione l’autore racconta i suoi rapporti, i suoi gusti e i suoi pareri in fatto di fotomodelle e, ovviamente, di piedi. Sorprendente e per certi versi un po’ inquietante la conclusione dell’introduzione. Si tende a pensare che chi pubblica volumi come questo sia diventato ricco a palate, e invece... “Non voglio sembrare risentito, perché, per quanto quest’arte o settore, o come la si voglia chiamare, possa essere dura per uno come me, è ancora più dura per un fotografo alle prime armi. Ora bisogna avere ancora più passione e perseveranza per farsi un nome, sapendo benissimo che, per quanto ostinati, tutto ciò che si otterrà sarà un nome. Non ci sono più né soldi né professione in questo mestiere. Chi comincia a fare questo lavoro dovrà farlo solo per la ragione per cui lo faccio io ora: sperare di divertire qualcuno, aprire la mente agli altri e ispirare pochi a intraprendere questa strada”.
