About the author

Paul Logothetis is a former Associated Press sports writer who contributes to The Guardian and Deutsche Press-Agentur. He spent over a decade reporting from the Olympics, Formula One, World Cup and Champions League finals while working as a correspondent in London and Madrid. He is the author of Toe Blake: Winning is Everything, the first published account of the iconic Montreal Canadiens captain and coach Hector 'Toe' Blake, who amassed 11 Stanley Cups over a lifetime in the NHL.

I don’t know much about Messi so this book was very interesting. I enjoyed the photographs, the glossary, and the other text features. I plan to order more like this for my school’s library collection.

It gives some basic information about Messi's childhood and is followed by a recounting of his soccer career, including challenges, rivals, and awards/records. There are full color photographs, fun facts and quotes, and a listing for a website with additional information.
