I get the impression this is going to be a lot more than an architectural history. It covers from 1100 thru 1914. The thumbnail is of Assolas, Castlemagner, Co Cork. would have much prefered showing the bow-ended wings from the rear of the house. Here are some historic Irish houses on line http://images.google.com/imgres?imgur...
I'm glad that during my youth I bought so many books for my old age, hopefully my eyes will hold out.

Grab a Snickers! This book packs a punch of Ireland's history and the architectural history that follows it. This is more than just a "coffee table" copy. There are drawings, black and white photos, as well as a few colored photos.
