This is a simple, but factual elementary level book about he westward expansion. It discusses the different concepts of taking a family on the journey. Although it states that this is about a kid's life during the westward expansion, I believe the author talked more about a families life experiences like living on the frontier, building a home, clothes they wore, chores, etc. Still a good reference for a teacher to use in their classroom.
