This document has been adapted from "Manual of Guidelines for Scoping EIA in Tropical Wetlands" by Howe et al, published in 1991, as the authors of the original document felt that more needed to be done to raise the level of awareness amongst planners, managers and others as to the many different benefits provided by wetlands. It has been expanded to include more information, especially specific examples of wetland benefits.
