Stranded with the Alpha Bear

Rate this book
Big, Sexy, Daring Bear Falls Hard For A Beautiful, Stubborn, Curvy Virgin!

Christian is one strong, daring bear with a few secrets to keep and some important tribe duties to take care of. Years of tribe wars and the loss of someone close to his heart had the alpha convinced that he could shield his heart from compassion, emotions and above all, love.

Oh, how mistaken he is!

With a beautiful, curvy virgin arriving into Christian’s life without a warning, looks like it’s time for the tough bear to get a reality check…

As his alpha instincts kick in, the bear knows that he has to control his mating urges, even if that means turning his back on that beautiful virgin when she needs him the most.

But, can the dangerously sexy bear shifter leave a potential (ah, so feisty!) mate like this? Especially, when the battle is so very personal!

Veronica is not your average, curvy damsel in distress. The curvy virgin may have nowhere to turn to but the mysterious bear shifter who seems more interested in turning her away than letting an attractive woman come in his way.

Veronica knows that she is in real trouble this time but she is certain that she will play her cards right. Only time will tell if the witty virgin can keep herself from falling head over heels for this dangerously sexy, reclusive alpha who also happens to be her only hope of getting out of the mess she’s gotten herself into.

Does she have any clue that there’s more to the tough bear shifter than just him being her protector?

Looks like whatever Veronica is running from might in fact have more to do with Christian. When fate takes a few turns, the curvy virgin will discover that the alpha has more in mind than just keeping her safe.

Hurting a human’s emotions is one thing but denying the urge to protect his destined mate is another. And, Christian knows exactly how to take care of the latter!

To give Ashley props this was a big improvement in her stories. They are getting better but I do find some issues. Not sure I read the same book as the other reviewers. It was a good story I do admit that. Just the banter between characters and things like that just made no sense sometimes. The parentheses thoughts were confusing and seemed silly. She talks to her deceased family as well like they are right there. It was just strange and I wasn't sure what Ashley was going for there. Christian was a complete douche to her through most of it. I get trying to keep her at arms length but this kinda went over and beyond and really bordered meanness. Calling her garbage? Really? Wow! Her co-worker Stevie who is supposed to be her friend wasn't exactly supportive of her either. Saying she would get more people to like her if she lost weight. Uh way to be supportive there dude! Rick the werebear who she patched up no less basically blamed her for everything. Just some of the parts of the story I didn't care for. They all treated her like crap! It was REALLY hard for me to root for anyone other than Veronica and yes later I rooted for Christan when he got over himself and did a 180. I think the ONLY one nice to her from beginning to end and he didn't even spend that much time with her was Argo I think his name was. He was sweet. Also this wasn't 166 pages. It was half of that because there was another story included which I have read before. Don't like when authors add extra stories to make books seem longer. Honestly that's what it was whether it was intended that way or not. I do continue to read her stories because they are good stories. Just the conversations, editing, and development can be off putting at times. :) This was a solid 3 stars for me.

Something Beautiful!!!

Veronica was a curvy waitress at a local bar who was called names because she was a virgin by the young men who went to school with her.

One night after her shift at the bar, she was dragged into the woods by werewolves, she was able to escape and ran straight in to Christian, the Alpha of the bear tribe.

Veronica was safer staying at the cabin with Christian than going back home cause the wolves would keep hunting her down until they got what they wanted.

As they spend more time together, Veronica and Christian discovered a lot about each other, their families and they fell in love... Stranded With The Alpha Bear was a short and sweet story. Ashley Hunter did great.

I liked it

It was a good start to what seems like a good series. I liked that there was no wasted time spent convincing Veronica of the existence of the supernatural. And she had to chase her were bear instead of him chasing her. To me a good story has good interaction between the two main characters, this book has that, and more.
