As a companion to Your Child's First Communion, this easy-to-read magazine-style guide is designed to help the priest or catechist work with children by involving parents. Illustrated with color photographs throughout, it helps parents clarify their own approach to the sacrament and helps them provide creative support for the child during the preparation period. This book also features a brief but helpful question-and-answer section that deals with issues such as children's fears, parents who cannot receive the sacrament, a non-Catholic parent, changes in the sacrament, and more.
This resource is the opposite of helpful. It emphasizes heavily (and incorrectly) how the Church is changing and moving away from old traditions. It seems to suggest frequent confession is unnecessary and even harmful. It does have both a Nihil Obstat and an Imprimatur.
