A mysterious letter from an old friend of her father's brings Katie and her brother Pete to Egypt, where they encounter a conspiracy involving theft and terrorism.
The second in the Katie's World series takes Katie, her dad, and brother to Egypt to help her father's friend from long ago. Peter does not trust Mr. Reza and they soon find out why. The author describes so perfectly the traffic and smells of Africa that I wonder if she had visited at some point. Katie's journal entry for this adventure is much shorter than in the first book, and she learns the value of being a true friend.
