It is widely rumored that, one fell night, whilst caught in the sweaty grip of a frantic fever dream, a young H.P. Lovecraft glimpsed an unspeakable creeping horror lying in uneasy sleep in the stygian darkness which lies beyond the stars. A thing so stark and terrible to behold that to catch sight of it in the broad, revealing light of day would be to drive men mad. And thus, when Lovecraft rose from his troubled dreams, the Cthulhu mythos was born. So at least SOMETHING good came from the rise of modern architecture.
This wasn't the best architecture/house idea book that I've seen on the shelves. I certainly would not pay the suggested retail price. This book seemed slightly under budget with some of the pictures and left me wanting more to read and see for each home. May have been better to make 2 different books and spread out more of the ideas. I was really unsatisfied with this book.
It was very interesting to see how houses are being made all over the world but also with specific plans of resources and living plan. I read it with the intent of getting ideas for our own house. There are some really amazing designs but also a lot with a ton of creativity put into them.
