My passion is writing! What could be more delicious than inventing new characters and seeing where they take you?
I am blessed to live in Indiana, a state I share with many Amish communities. (I find the best spices, hot cereal, and good cooking advice at an Amish store not too far away.)
I've lived in Honduras, Grand Cayman, and Costa Rica. One of my favorite activities is exploring other cultures. My husband, Paul, and I have two grown children and five precious grandchildren. I love to hole up in our lake cabin and write -- often with a batch of popcorn nearby. (Oh, and did I mention dark chocolate?) And I can often be found walking the beaches of Costa Rica.
I enjoy getting to know my readers, so feel free to write me at: contact@brendamaxfield.com. Join my Newsletter Gang and get the latest news about releases: http://ticahousepublishing.subscribem.... Please visit to learn about all my books! Happy Reading!

These novellas are sold separately but I got them as a boxed set. That being said, that is how I will write this review. A little about each book all in one string.
BOOK 1: MISSING ABRAM
Abram goes back to the Englishers telling anyone good bye or giving any explanation. Hope has no idea why and she naturally thinks he left because of an Englisher girl and that he may be leaving the community for good.
Abram's cousin, Josiah, comes to work on the Lambright farm and instead of wanting to get to know Mary, Hope's sister, he gives his attention to Hope.
All of the misunderstandings run rampant in this 1st book of AMISH DAYS:HOPE'S STORY
BOOK 2: ABRAM'S PLAN
Hope is shocked to find out mamm had a younger sister who just recently died and they have two cousins in Ohio. The cousins are in a special school program for the summer and it is decided Hope will go to Ohio and take care of them and then bring them home at the end of the program.
Abram told Hope that he has bought a farm and wants to fix the house during the summer. After the harvest they want to announce that they plan to be married. She does not want to leave Abram and go to Ohio but she has no choice.
After she is there but a few weeks she finds out Abram has broken his leg. From that point on things begin changing and happening at a fast pace.
A good addition to the 2nd book of AMISH DAYS:HOPE'S STORY.
BOOK3: ABRAM'S BRIDE
Hope arrives home early bringing her new cousins with her. First off she needs to see Abram and find out just how badly he is hurt. Even though he is happy to see her, he begins to tell her they will have to wait a year to be married because he has to use his money on medical expenses and won't be able to do the repairs on the house as he had wanted to do.
Hope decides she will help and begins selling her sugar cream pies five days a week. She then decides to go to her and Abram's future home and start cleaning it. Her sister sees what Hope is doing and forms a "work party" with Hope, their new cousin, Abrams sister as well as others and their secret is safe. The house is ready to be lived in: cleaned spotless and the rooms are painted.
Abram sees what the women have done and soon realizes that he now has no reason to wait another year and gives in to being married.
These are delightful short stories that I read in just a few hours. They are perfect for those who only have short periods of reading time available to them. I recommend them to all who like quick reads as well as Amish stories.
